Everything You Need to Know About Gulf Coast Getaway!

Gulf Coast Getaway (GCG) is almost here! You’re about to experience a powerful weekend in the presence of God with over 1,000 other college students! Here’s everything you need to know.

LEAVING
We’re leaving the CCSC at 5:00 am Friday January 13th. That means you MUST be at the CCSC prior to 5:00 am. I repeat, we are leaving from the CCSC at 5:00am Friday January 13th. See you bright and early :)

Do you live too far from Russellville to arrive before 5:00am? If so, here are some options. Guys can spend the night before at the CCSC and girls can spend the night before at Westside. Call Preston at 903-363-8308 if you’re a guy interested in staying the night Thursday January 12 at the CCSC or Krysta at 501-590-9949 if you’re a girl interested in staying the night before at Westside. 

WHAT TO BRING 
Here’s what you need to bring. There are three categories. Spiritual items, clothing items, and money. 

• For your spiritual items… please bring your Bible, a journal, and a pen. This conference will be a great time for you to grow spiritually so make the most of it!
• For your clothing items… pack enough clothes for three days and nights, bring a warm jacket, and if you want to play on the beach bring an outfit for getting dirty. If you plan on swimming or getting in the hot tub bring only one towel, an appropriate swimsuit, and modest apparel such as tank tops or shorts (guys and girls).
• For your money… Bring enough money to cover your breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the car ride to GCG and back to Russellville. Bring money or a card if you want to donate to the yearly cause that GCG selects (optional). And finally, bring money if you want to buy merchandise from booths at GCG (optional).

WHAT TO EXPECT

• 5 Sessions of worship: singing, praying, and sermons
• 4 Breakout Class sessions: smaller classes covering a variety of topics
• 3 Community Group sessions: a time for just our ministry to get together and talk about what we’re learning
• 1 Concert late Saturday night
• Free time!: a few hours on Saturday and Sunday to play at the beach or just relax

COMING BACK
We will leave GCG around 5:00am Monday January 16th. Expect to arrive back at the CCSC around 7:00pm-10:00pm that evening depending on how the drive goes.
