Hello fellow CCSCers! I hope everyone attended and enjoyed CHRISTeens this past weekend! Here's a glance at this week's schedule: This week is small group week! Be sure to meet with your group sometime during the week. If you are NOT in a small group and would like to be involved in one, get in touch with the staff. We would LOVE to get you involved in one! Wednesday night (2/28) at 7:00, be sure to bring your spiritual appetite for Midweek! Jake will be bringing us the word and Zac is bringing us some top notch worship! As usual, there will be snacks along with lattes available for purchase. This Midweek is going to be a special Midweek. We're going to be having Give Night! That is where we will take up a collection to raise funds for the Student Center. If it is in your heart to give back to the CCSC, this is an opportunity for you to do just that! If you are not a regular or do not feel comfortable doing so, then don't feel obligated to. We are just happy to have you there with us! THIS WEEKEND IS FAMILY WEEKEND!!! The CCSC building will be closed Friday at noon and will not open back up at 9:00 a.m. Monday morning (3/5). Go home, chill out, and get some rest! Even though it is Family Weekend, class will still meet Sunday morning at the Greers'! If you are in town, be sure to join us at 9:00am for coffee and discussion. I believe share groups will still meet also. The Todd's group will meet at Craig and Jessica Davis' house after church and the Greer's group will meet out at Camp Caudle at 5 p.m. Thanks for tuning in! I hope to see you soon! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

What's up CCSCers! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! Before I get into the week's schedule, I have a couple of HUGE announcements: CHRISTeens 2018 is THIS WEEKEND!! If you don't know what that is, it's a youth rally hosted by West Side Church of Christ at Russellville HS's Fine Arts Center (2203 S Knoxville Ave, Russellville) starting Friday night at 8:00 p.m. If you are interested in helping run the CCSC booth between sessions, talk to Krysta to sign up for a shift or just hang out by the booth! If you are interested in helping with the production of the event, talk to Jake and we will get you hooked up! There's always a position that needs to be filled. I HIGHLY encourage everyone to get involved! It's always a great time of worship, lessons, fun, and friendship! Also, the Spring Break Mission Trip is just around the corner! Come with us to Orange, TX to help with hurricane relief. We will be leaving the Friday before spring break (3/16) and returning Tuesday (3/20). It's only half of a week, so you still have time to go home and rest for a while! Plus, it's only $25.00! Be sure to fill out a form from the command center, located on the wall behind the back room. Those are my big announcements! You won't want to miss out! Now here's how the week is going to go: Tonight (2/19) at 5:45 p.m., West Side CoC is holding their weekly Monday Night For The Masters (MNFTM) in the Family Center. Meet us there or carpool with us from the Student Center at 5:30. There will be food, service projects, and community! Also, look forward to playing basketball afterward! For all the ladies, Krysta will be doing Zumba at the CCSC afterwards if you want to get your groove on! Wednesday night (2/21) at 7:00 p.m., we will be holding our weekly Midweek service. Be prepared for a lesson on idolatry from Jake, worship, and free snacks. As usual, lattes are available for only a couple of bucks. Friday night (2/23) around 6:30 p.m., the CCSC will close due to CHRISTeens. Come hang out with us at the Fine Arts Center instead! Last, but not least, Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m., Conner will be continuing his lesson series on Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Meet us at the Greer's house, located behind the West Side CoC visitor parking. After class, we will be attending West Side's weekly worship service across the street. Also on Sunday, share groups meet. The Todd's group meets at the Davis' house after church. The Greer's group will meet at Camp Caudle at 5 p.m. If you aren't a part of a share group already, just come visit one! There's no obligation or formal sign up so feel free to join us in one, or both! Thanks again for tuning in! Remember to sign up for Spring Break Mission! Hope y'all have a good one! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft "'Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you'" ~ Deuteronomy 31:6 (NIV) Hey guys! Hope everyone found something to do this family weekend! Here's a sneak peak of our week here at the CCSC: Small groups are this week! If you are in a group already, you will meet at your group's meeting time. If you are NOT in a group and are interested in joining, IT'S NOT TOO LATE! Get in touch with Krysta, Jake, or any of the interns and we'll get you hooked up! Wednesday night (2/14) at 7:00 p.m., we will be hosting our weekly worship service, Midweek! Prepare your vocal chords and your brain for some worship and a lesson from Jake. As usual, there will be snacks to munch on and lattes available for a couple of bucks. All of the proceeds will go towards mission efforts all around the world! For all you ladies out there, be ready for Thursday night (2/15)! Meet at the CCSC at 6:00 p.m. for Galentine's! Wear you PJ's and bring a blanket for movies, games, heart-shaped pizza, and desserts! There's even going to be a photo booth! If you are interested in attending, RSVP to Ashton at (501) 246-1525. Sunday morning (2/18) at 9:00 a.m., class will meet at the Greer's house (on the map below) where Conner will be going over a chapter of C.S. Lewis' Mere Christianity. If you need your daily coffee fix, there will be some made! Afterwards, at 10:00 a.m. West Side is hosting their weekly worship service across the street. Share groups will be meeting again on Sunday. The Davis' group will meet at their house for lunch after church and the Greer's group will meet out at Camp Caudle at 5:00 p.m. Share groups are a GREAT chance to get connected with older members of West Side and to build relationships with other students. Also, if you are interested in helping out with CHRISTeens this year, I'm sure there are some spots that need to be filled. Talk to Jake if you are interested in helping. If you want to help run the CCSC booth at CHRISTeens, talk to Krysta. One last thing, you need to sign up NOW for our Spring Break Mission Trip. We will be working in the Orange/Beaumont, TX areas, assisting in rebuilding after Hurricane Harvey. The cost is $25. To sign up, please contact the CCSC asap. Thanks again for tuning into the CCSC! I hope everyone has a great week and I hope to see you soon! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard you hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" ~ Philippians 4: 6-7 Hey everyone! Hope you are rejoicing, or recovering if you were a Patriots fan, over the Super Bowl last night! Here's what our week at the CCSC is going to look like: Monday night (2/5), we are joining West Side in the Family Center, across the street from the main building, at 5:45 p.m. to eat and help out with local service projects. These will include knitting baby caps for new-born babies, making blankets, and packing lunches for cancer patients to eat during chemotherapy. Afterwards, around 8:00 p.m., dodgeball is going down! Wear some sporty clothes and a headband and bring your A game!
Wednesday night (2/7) is going to be awesome! To start off the afternoon, Fifth and Greenwich Church of Christ is hosting Noon Meal! Come hang out at the CCSC at noon for some free food! That same night, at 7:00 p.m., Midweek is happening! Come prepared for some worship and a lesson on idolatry in our lives from Jake. As usual, there will be some treats to munch on and lattes available for purchase. All of the proceeds go towards mission work all around the world! This weekend (2/9 - 2/11) is a family weekend! That means the CCSC is shutting down for the weekend. Krysta is closing up shop Friday around noon and won't be back till Monday, so get some rest, visit home, and be ready to take on the next week! Because of the family weekend, there will not be class Sunday morning (2/11). However, West Side is still holding their weekly worship service at 10:00 a.m. Thanks for tuning in to the CCSC! Hope to see y'all this week! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." ~ Romans 8:38-39 |
