Hey friends! I hope everyone's break was filled with friends, family, food, holiday cheer, and rest! And for the Gulf Coast Getaway 2018 crew, I pray that the weekend was a challenging and motivating weekend to get you prepared to take on the new semester! The first week of school has flown by and now school is getting real. Lucky for you, we are too! Here is what our week at the CCSC is going to look like: First, join us Monday night (1/22) at 6:30 p.m. for Nacho Night! There will be nachos, friends, and a showing of Nacho Libre! So bring your appetite, bring your wrestling mask, and bring your spandex... well... scratch that. Leave that for Jack Black. Second, our weekly Midweek service is Wednesday night (1/24) at 7 p.m.. Jake is bringing us the word about idols in our lives. Snacks will be provided along with the option to purchase lattes. All proceeds will go towards mission efforts all across the world! Before I mention the last announcement, something HUGE is happening! Small groups are starting back up! This semester, they will be focused on the Midweek series from the book "Gods at War" by Kyle Idleman. The first meet up will happen the week of January 29th. If you are already in one, get in contact with your leader(s). If you are not involved and would like to be, talk to Jake or Krysta or any of the staff members. We would LOVE for you to be in a small group! I believe that small groups can open up good discussion and allow intimacy. Also, if you have a friend who you think would like to get involved, invite them! We would be glad to meet them! Last, but definitely not least, Sunday morning (1/28) at 9 a.m. we will be meeting at the Greer's house (201 N. Utah, Russellville) for coffee and a short lesson from Conner Brown. Afterwards, we will walk across the street to worship at West Side Church of Christ. Following church, we will have Share Groups. These groups are small groups with students and with members of the West Side community. It is an opportunity to make connections with others outside of our normal realm and to communicate in constructive discussion together, altogether building community. Group One meets immediately following West Side services, around noon, at Craig and Jessica Davis' home. Group Two meets at 5 p.m. at Camp Caudle (Meets at the CCSC at 4:15 to carpool). Thank you everyone for tuning in with us! We hope your week is filled with many blessings! And remember, if you are interested in a small group, contact or talk to a staff member. You're new weekly blogger, - Camdyn Ashcraft
