Big Trip

I'd like to ask for your prayers over the next few days. Cade and I are headed to Warrensburg, Missouri to visit a church that's interested in starting a campus ministry at the University of Central Missouri, a campus with 16,000 students. We're traveling there today and will be back on Wednesday afternoon.

The need for campus ministries is great. There are only around 125 campus ministries affiliated with the Churches of Christ in the United States. That number seems tiny when you compare it to the thousands of colleges and universities around the country.

As many of you know, the college years are an incredibly important time in a person's faith development. My life was changed as a college student through campus ministry and many of your lives have been changed as well. This is important for at least two reasons.

1. We need to realize how incredibly blessed we are to have a ministry like the CCSC at ATU because there aren't many out there.

2. We need followers of Jesus who have the heart and mentality of a missionary to go to campuses like the University of Central Missouri with the good news of Jesus.
