Intern Application

The vision for the Renew Internship is to lead, represent, and serve Renew College Ministry and our campus with unique gifts, passions, and perspectives. Our aim is to help Arkansas Tech students to find a place to belong, believe, and become. Here's what that means...

Belong -- A place where you can meet Jesus in a group where you are welcomed and accepted.
Believe -- A place where you can know Jesus through His Word and His people.
Become -- A place where you can follow Jesus as you become who God designed you to be.

As a Renew Intern you help us make that happen! Application for the Internship is open to all active members of the Renew College Ministry who have at least two semesters of involvement.

Who?

We're looking for a team of passionate, student leaders who will serve our ministry and our campus! The Internship is a great opportunity to grow closer to Jesus and get training in becoming a multiplying disciple! There are great benefits of being a Renew Intern:

Intentional training from staff and other leaders.
Lord willing, you will be used to lead students to Christ and help mature them in Christ.
Special opportunities to grow into who God wants you to be through special training, books, & resources.
Gain valuable experience in leadership.
Can and will be making a HUGE impact on this campus.

What?

Interns must demonstrate a high level of commitment to Renew College Ministry by making it a top priority in everyday life - attending, planning, participating, & leading in Renew events.
Serve at Renew in various ways -- a weekly duty night, lead/participate in small groups, campus outreach, plan & attend events, retreats, conferences, etc.
Attend weekend services of the West Side Church of Christ, including any activities scheduled.
Live with Christ-like character:
1. Put the needs and interests of others above your own. Philippians 2:3-4
2. Live an honest open life before others. Ephesians 4:25
3. Give and receive Scriptural correction. Hebrews 3:13
4. Clear up relationships. Matthew 5:23-24
5. Participate in the ministry of the church. 1 Peter 4:10
6. Follow spiritual leadership within Scriptural limits. Hebrews 13:17
Have a desire to learn how to share Jesus as a lifestyle and make disciples:
Practicing the MARCS of a disciple -- Missional, Accountable, Reproducible, Communal, Scriptural.
Attend a weekly team training/planning/prayer meeting. We will meet every week (depending on schedules) to share stories, get practical training on how to grow, witness, and disciple, pray together and to help plan Renew events.
Compensation: $1000 per semester or free housing if you are a resident of the Renew Campus House.
