What's up guys! I hope your spring break was enjoyable and relaxing! To those who joined us on the mission trip, I hope it was a learning experience for you. We appreciate you joining us! Good work was done in the name of Christ because you sacrificed part of your break to hang drywall. Before I get into the week's overview, I have a few announcements: First, this week is small group week, so meet up with your group sometime this week. Second, Senior Banquet 2018 is happening soon! April 28th to be exact! If you are a senior graduating this spring or next fall, be sure to sign the banquet signup sheet in the back room as soon as possible. By signing the sheet, we will be sure to recognize you in the banquet. Last, a not so wise man by the name of Andrew Bernard said, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good ole days before you've actually left them." Well, thanks to the CCSC internship, I KNOW that I'm in the good ole days! And now, it's your chance to be a part of it! We are taking intern applications online. Be sure to fill one out to have a shot at an internship! Now into the week's schedule: Wednesday night (3/28) at 7:00p.m. we will be holding our weekly worship service at the CCSC building. This week will be a special Midweek, though. It is Give Night. Like the few other Give Nights we have had, you will have the chance to give monetary donations to help us support our CRF kids around the world! As usual, snacks will be set out to munch on and lattes are available to purchase for a couple of bucks. Sunday (4/1) is Easter Sunday! We would love to have you join us for class at the Greer's house at 9:00a.m. and at Westside's church service at 10:00a.m.! Due to families being out of town, share groups will NOT meet. Thank you for tuning in to the CCSC! I hope everyone gets back into the swing of things okay! Hope to see you this week! Good morning fellow CCSCers! I hope you are having a great start to your week! Here's a sneak peak of our week here at the CCSC: First, small groups meet this week! Be sure to meet with your group sometime this week. Wednesday night (3/14) is going to be HUGE!! Midweek is coming to campus! Be sure to join us at 7 p.m. in Young Ballroom for a night of worship led by the one and only Zac George! This is a good opportunity to bring the gospel to more students, so I would like to issue you a challenge. Invite a friend, a classmate, a co-worker, or whoever. That's the challenge, just invite one person! Finally, we are leaving for the Spring Break Mission Trip this Friday (3/16)! We will be leaving at 3 p.m. that afternoon for Orange, TX! If you need a packing list, we are working in hurricane relief, so pack accordingly. If you need a detailed packing list, I'm sure Krysta has some lying around the CCSC. I would ask that you please be praying for a safe trip there and back and for everyone to leave a Godly impact on the city. I am sure that we can do great work in Orange and your prayers will validate that fact. I hope everyone has a great week! You're SO CLOSE to spring break! Finish strong! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft "I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." ~ C.S. Lewis What's up everyone? I hope everyone had a restful family weekend! Now it's time to get back into the action!! Here's what we've got going: Tonight (3/5) at 6:00 p.m., bring an appetite for games and cereal! We'll have board games, video games, and card games setup to play with friends. And what better way to enjoy games than with cereal? Unless you feel compelled to bring your own stuff, the cereal, milk, and bowls will be supplied. So just bring your appetite and excitement! If you have a fun game you'd like to bring, bring it too! If you enjoy free food, fun, and friends, join us Wednesday (3/7) at noon for a free meal! Make sure to invite friends too! There will be plenty, so the more the merrier! (Big shoutout to Downtown Church, in Morrilton, for hosting this month's noon meal!) That same night, at 7 p.m., join us for our weekly worship service. Our fearless leader, Jake, will be bringing the word about idols in our lives, so bring your thinking cap! Per usual, snacks will be set out to munch on and lattes will be available to purchase. All proceeds will be budgeted for mission support. Sunday morning (3/11), class will meet at the Greer's house at 9 a.m., where Conner will continue his series on Mere Christianity, by C.S. Lewis. After class, we will join West Side CoC just across the street for their weekly worship service. If you can't make it to class but still would like to make it to church, West Side will start their service at 10 a.m. Share Groups will meet Sunday, too. The Todd's group will meet at the Davis' house for lunch and the Greer's group will meet at Camp Caudle at 5 p.m. REMINDER: Spring Break Mission Trip is just around the corner! Be sure to sign up to join us in contributing to hurricane relief efforts in Orange, TX. It's a great way to use your spring break to demonstrate the love of God to others and to develop deeper relationships with your friends at the CCSC. PLUS... it's only half of the week! That means you still have time to visit home and rest a little bit! We will be heading for Texas on March 26th, at 3 p.m. Thanks again for tuning into the CCSC! Be sure to get involved and invite friends! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." ~ Psalm 55:22 |
