Hey everybody! I don't know about you guys, but spring break came at the perfect time for me. Although I wouldn't object if it were a few days longer! I hope you all were able to relax and distance yourself from the stress of school for a little bit.
Check out what we have going on at the CCSC this week: First off, Monday at 6:30 p.m. are Purpose Groups. Freshmen and Sophomores will be going to Neil and Katie's, while Juniors and Seniors will be going to Craig and Jessica's. Meet at the CCSC at 6:15 p.m. to carpool. Purpose Groups are a great way to meet new people and form new bonds in a relaxing environment. Next is Midweek on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Neil Reynolds returns to the stage as he starts part one of his lesson that will span for the next few weeks. Sunday at 9 a.m. we will meet for college bible class and service at West Side Church of Christ, which is located at 2300 West C Street in Russellville. If you'd like to join, just let one of us know and we'd be happy to give you a ride! Sunday at 5 p.m. are Share Groups. These are groups that include CCSC students and members of West Side. We leave from the CCSC at 4:50 p.m. to go to Share Groups. Anyone is invited, so join us if you would like to check it out. It's a stressful time of year for students everywhere. Keep your head up and focus on what matters most. Good luck everyone. -Matthew For the most up-to-date news and happenings, check us out on Facebook and Twitter!

That's right, we are just one day away from Bring-a-Friend night! If you have not found someone to bring yet, that's OK, you still have time! The beauty of bringing one is how quick and easy it is. It is not a huge undertaking, all you have to do is invite your suite mate, that person you pass on your way to class, a professor, anyone! If we all brought just one person, it would be the biggest crowd we have had at a Midweek all school year and imagine the energy that would be flowing through Young Ballroom! Those of you who are familiar with the CCSC know how special it is, so let's get out there and bring more people into our family and let them experience this with us! It's the last week before Spring Break and we have a great week planned at the CCSC to help send you all off! Here's what's going on...

Have a great week and a relaxing Spring Break, everyone! -Matthew For the most up-to-date news and happenings, check us out on Facebook and Twitter! Hey everyone! In order to help more students on the Arkansas Tech campus live with purpose, we are having a very special night. This Wednesday, we are having our first ever "Bring-A-Friend" night.
So what will be different about Midweek? We are going to start at 6:30 p.m. in Young Ballroom with FREE PIZZA and icebreaker games. Worship will start at 7 p.m. Zac George and his team will lead us in worship and Preston Conder will be closing our series, "I Have Come," focusing on John 18. If everyone brought just one friend, imagine how full that ballroom would be! There is a movement happening at Arkansas Tech, it is filling students' lives with purpose and we want everyone to join in! This year the CCSC is going to Baton Rouge, LA to serve alongside our friends from the Christian Student Center at LSU! We’ll be doing disaster relief work, homeless ministry, as well as some projects on campus. It’s going to be a great week of serving and growing closer to God and each other. If you’re going, here are the essential details…
Today is the last day to sign up, so be sure not to miss it! If you’re still undecided, here are three reasons you should go… 1. FunCollege is about experiences, and fun experiences will make your time in college exciting and memorable. But here’s the thing: it’s hard to have fun alone. Sure, we all need alone time, but let's face it, the best things in life take place in the company of others. When friends get together, fun happens. If you’re looking for a fun way to spend your break, this is it! 2. AdventureOkay, let’s be real—no one would put Baton Rouge on a list of “places to visit before you die.” But for most of us, things like getting out on campus, being bold in our faith, and serving those in need sound cool, but can be a little intimidating. Adventure is risky, but if you’re a follower of Jesus, you have to be willing to take risks. What better way to do so than with 30 of your closest friends? Come to Baton Rouge with us and experience firsthand what an adventure following Jesus can be. 3. MissionJesus was no stranger to travelling. He spent much of his life travelling to new places to serve new people (Mark 1:38). Jesus shared his life and faith with others, and he asks his followers to do the same.
This much is clear: if we’ve been blessed, it’s so we can bless others. Spring Break is the perfect time to take a break from the noise of everyday life, share our blessings with others, and focus on what matters most. ............................................................................................. So there you have it! We hope you’ll make plans to join us this Spring Break. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can do so at the CCSC (209 W. L St.) or contact Corey Harrison (479-857-5558). The deadline to sign up is TONIGHT (Wednesday, March 8th). Money is due NEXT WEDNESDAY, March 15th. |
