If you are a student and you are reading this: Take a deep breath. Now, breath again. And one more big deep breath. There we go. You are going to be fine this week and next. You have been attending class and (hopefully) doing schoolwork all semester for this moment. You got this. Pray for clarity in your studying so that you can enter those final tests with your eyes fixed in the right direction, without any doubt. Pray for all of your brothers and sisters too who are undergoing the same stresses and anxieties.
We have a pretty great week planned at the CCSC to help you all push through, so come hang out with us in between studying sessions! First off are Purpose Groups. It's the final Purpose Group of the year and we are combining groups! Both the freshman and sophomore group, along with the junior and senior group will be going to Old Post Park for games and grilling out. Everyone's invited! It starts at 6 p.m. Arrive at the CCSC a bit earlier if you would like to carpool. Next is a free meal on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.! We will be having pancakes, with all sorts of toppings and add-ons. If you can dream it, you can make it. Instead of Midweek, we will be having a cereal party on Wednesday at 7 p.m. There will be tons of cereal for you to munch on in preparation of the first wave of finals. Sunday at 9 a.m. we will meet for college bible class and service at West Side Church of Christ, which is located at 2300 West C Street in Russellville. If you'd like to join, just let one of us know and we'd be happy to give you a ride! Sunday at 5 p.m. are Share Groups. These are groups that include CCSC students and members of West Side. We leave from the CCSC at 4:50 p.m. to go to Share Groups. Anyone is invited, so join us if you would like to check it out. Best of luck on all of the finals, everyone. Thank you all for reading the weekly update blog, no matter if this is your first, or if you read it every week. It has been a huge pleasure to be able to share the weekly update for you all this school year. It's helped me see how my skills as a journalist can translate into work in ministry and that is incredibly encouraging. See y'all in the fall! -Matthew Emery For the most up-to-date news and happenings, check us out on Facebook and Twitter!
