Hey! It's the final weekly update of the semester and of my CCSC career, sadly. It has been encouraging to work my skill set of writing and journalism in a way that can serve our ministry. Thanks for reading! Here's everything we have going on for the remainder of the semester... First off, Monday and Tuesday nights are our share groups! Share groups are a time to get closer to some of your peers as you learn more about yourself and grow closer to the Lord. Your share group leader will be in contact with you as to where and when your group will meet! If you were not involved in a share group this semester, fear not! Share groups will return better than ever next semester. Midweek is at 7 p.m. Join us at the CCSC on Wednesday night as Josh Clem comes and begins to close the door on our journey through Hebrews together. Sunday at 9 a.m. we will meet for college bible class at the Greer's house (201 N. Utah, Russellville). These classes are typically student led and will allow for you to engage in spiritual conversations with your fellow classmates. Following class, Sunday at 10 a.m., we will head from the Greer's across the street to Westside Church of Christ (2300 W. C St., Russellville) for service. Following church services on Sundays, we have Share Groups. These are groups that include CCSC students and members of West Side. It serves as a way to build community and come together with fellow brothers and sisters outside of our normal realm. Group One meets immediately following West Side services, around noon, at Craig and Jessica Davis' home. Group Two meets at 5 p.m. at Camp Caudle (Meets at the CCSC at 4:15 to carpool). Next Tuesday (12/5) at 7 p.m., is the annual CCSC Christmas Party featuring an always-exciting game of "Dirty Santa." Join us in a celebration of the most wonderful time of the year and participate in the fun! Don't spend over $10 on a gift for Dirty Santa because I promise you will more than likely walk out with a mug or fleece throw blanket. Be sure to wear the ugliest Christmas sweater you can find!!! Desserts and drinks will be provided! Next Wednesday (12/6) at 7 p.m., Jake Greer will close the book on our study of Hebrews in an abbreviated Midweek that will allow you ample time to study for finals. And lastly, during FINALS WEEK, we will be open during our normal hours to provide you with an environment outside of the library to study or unwind. We will also have pancake mix and the grills out for you to come and make yourself some pancakes! It's been a good ride everybody, finish this semester strong! See you guys at Panama City Beach, -Matthew Emery For the most up-to-date news and happenings, check us out on Facebook and Twitter!
