What's up CCSC'ers? Thanks for tuning in! Here's what our week will look like:
This week is REgroup week! If you haven't had your group meet already, be sure and check in to know the time and place to meet! This week will be our introduction week, so this is the time to really start to get to know your groupmates! Friday night at 7pm, we will meet for Midweek! That is our weekly worship service where we congregate together to hear a powerful message, brought to you by THE Jake Greer, and spend some time in passionate worship. Along with the service, there will be freshly baked cookies to eat! Sunday morning at 9am, be sure to meet us at the Greer's house for some coffee with a devo presented by the one and ONLY Brent Ruple. After our devo, we will walk across the street to West Side CoC to worship with our church family. Sunday afternoon, meet at Craig and Jess Davis' house (238 S Seattle Ave) for free food and conversation. It's a great way to get to know other students and some older church members! This will happen directly after West Side's worship service. A couple of announcements: Be sure to sign up for the float trip by September 13th! That's this Thursday! And that doesn't mean you have to pay the $10.00 quite yet. Just sign up and worry about that later if you need to! We will float the Buffalo with Arkansas State's Wolflife and we will be meeting with the Riverside CoC. Bring some floating clothes and an upbeat spirit! If you would like to get to know some folks from West Side, sign up for Adopt-a-Student. This is a program where a family will "adopt" you and get to know you. I highly recommend being involved with this! It's another great opportunity to mingle with the older generation! Thanks again for tuning in! I hope to see y'all this week! Welcome back everyone! I hope your first week was a great kickstart to the year! Now, this week we are wrapping up our Fall Blitz, but no need to worry, because we've got a few action-packed events left!
TONIGHT (8/28) we are having 90's skate night! Come dressed for some 90's throwback skating and bring an appetite for some soda floats! Be prepared to make some new friends as well! We will be partnering with The Bridge campus ministry! Meet us at the roller rink (1102 E 2nd Street) at 7pm, or meet us at the CCSC at 6:20pm to carpool over there! WEDNESDAY (8/29), meet us for our weekly Midweek at 7pm. Jake will be bringing us a message, accompanied by some phenomenal worship. At Midweek, we will have signups for REgroups (our relational small groups), for the fall float trip, and for a team of folks who are motivated to get involved in helping us prepare and run our events. If you feel called to do so, we would love to get you involved! THURSDAY (8/30), join us at the Taylor's house (371 Cliff Rd) at 6pm for a pool party! There will be free food, free friends, and free fun! You're not going to want to miss it! That's it for Fall Blitz, but be sure to stay involved throughout the semester! We'll be implementing REgroups, Monday night events, retreats, Gulf Coast Getaway, and MORE! One final note before I let you go... This weekend is family weekend. That sounds really neat, and it is! Basically, we close the CCSC building at noon on Friday and for the rest of the weekend! And since it's Labor day weekend, we won't open back up until Tuesday morning. Be sure to go home and grill some burgers with the family! If you happen to be in town, We'll still be having Sunday morning class and worship at the Greer's house. Thanks for tuning in everyone! Hope to see you sometime this week! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft Yesterday we are kicked off our Summer of Prayer! Each Monday throughout the summer we’ll post and share some prayer requests regarding our students and the college ministry here at ATU! Want to sign up to receive texts? Text @CCSCPrayer to 81010 or visit our website at ccscatu.org/prayer to get signed up.
This week please be praying for our students involved in summer missions. We will have students in Nicaragua, Greece, at Camp Caudle, and with the Levy Youth Group. Blessings! I hope everyone's week is off to a great start! I know finals are a comin' and the stress levels are exponentially rising, so we'd like to have you de-stress with us! Here's what we have going:
Wednesday (5/2) is going to be our dead day extraordinaire! We will have the makings for pancakes for the whole day (starting at 9:00 a.m.), a brunch-themed noon meal, and our last Midweek! This Midweek will be abbreviated, so just come for a short word. The speaker is pretty neat too, so I wouldn't want to miss it! (I'm the speaker!) Sunday (5/6) we will have our normal morning church routine. At 9:00 a.m. we will have class at the Greers' house, followed by worship at West Side CoC. Feel free to join us at the Davis' house for the lunch share group after church. The Greer crew had their last group last week. Before I close, I want to thank you for your involvement and dedication to the CCSC! Y'all are what keep the heart beating at the CCSC! It has been a great year and I loved looking back at it Saturday at Spring Banquet! Have an awesome week and I hope to see you Wednesday! Your friend, Camdyn Ashcraft Hello once again fellow CCSCers! I know finals are coming up soon, stress levels are rising, and homework is getting more intense, but we would love to have you de-stress this week with us! Here's what we've got going on: Small groups meet this week, so find out the when and where and go enjoy some fellowship and discussion! Midweek will be held at the CCSC building on Wednesday (4/25) at 7 p.m. Our friend Mark Hixson, also the youth minister at West Side, will be speaking! per usual, snacks will be set out and lattes are available for only a couple of bucks. The money gained from them will be put towards mission efforts. We are having a WORK DAY on Friday from 10:00-3:00 to spruce up the CCSC before the Spring Banquet. Let Krysta knowIf you would like to come help out. Lunch will be provided around noon-ish. Spring Banquet is this Saturday (4/28) at 6:00 p.m.! If you RSVP'd, come join us for a meal and honoring our graduating seniors! If you're a senior, come enjoy good fellowship and memories. The only thing we ask is that everyone stays to clean up afterwards. That would help us out SO MUCH! To add a personal note, I'm on duty this weekend, so your help would be MUCH appreciated! Before I mention our Sunday morning schedule, I need to mention dead day, or as Tech calls it, reading day. There will be FREE MEAL at noon consisting of awesome breakfast foods! There will also be pancakes available all day long (starting at 9:00 a.m.), so come enjoy some breakfast, brunch, and brinner! Class will meet at 9:00 a.m. Sunday morning (4/29). Conner will be continuing his series on C.S Lewis' Mere Christianity. Afterwards, we will head across the street to West Side CoC for their worship service. Share groups will meet at the usual places at the usual times. The Todd and Davis group will be at the Davis' house after church. The Greer group will meet at Camp Caudle at 5:00 p.m. Thanks for tuning in to the CCSC! I hope everyone's week goes well and that the stress levels will keep to a minimum. See ya soon!
